How I Cleared My Skin Without Using Harsh Chemicals

Hey beauties! Today, I thought that I would do a blog post on how I cleared up my skin and show you the products that I’ve used to get my skin back to it’s normal, healthy state. Most people forget that our skin is the largest organ in our bodies. Not only does it protect us, but it helps keep us looking radiant, youthful and young. Here’s a little back story: about a year and a half ago my skin broke out worse than it ever had. It was worse than the typical middle school pimples that I had back when I was what, like 13 years old. I was so devastated and embarrassed, and…

Top Tips For A Good Night’s Sleep

I am a sleeping machine – I function at my best when I have at least eight hours of sleep. If I can sneak an extra hour or hour and a half more in, I would. Usually, I’ll start to wind down around 9:00 PM, with the hopes of falling asleep by 9:30–10:00. I wake up between 6-6:30 AM, but some mornings I sleep in a little later, not getting out of bed until 7:00 AM (something that I’m drastically trying to change, #sunrises right?). I’m generally a pretty good sleeper, but some nights it’s hard for me to get to sleep and I toss and turn, eventually passing out hours after I…

    Spring 2018 Trend: Mules

They’re back baby, and I’m glad that they never left! This spring season, mules are the go-to when it comes to fashionable footwear. These beauties are from Target they’re the Women’s Kona Backless Mule Loafers in silver (they also have them in black, here). I’m seriously so obsessed with them – they’re extremely comfortable and easy to walk in. The silver color adds a little glitz + glam to any outfit. They’re the perfect blend between casual + dressy, the go-to shoe for everyday wear. The material is a faux-leather, and I will say that I’ve been noticing that they scuff pretty easily and are starting to form a crease where…

It’s Time To Have A Talk With The Person Staring Back At You In The Mirror.

I’ve always been my own harshest critic – talking myself out of or down from things before I even start them. This year, I made a vow to myself to work on that. I needed to become more aware of how hard I was being on myself without even knowing it. That little voice inside of my head? Yeah, well it was no longer serving me to say the least. You know, that voice that beats you up when you make a mistake. The same one who is overly critical of your actions or in-actions. The same one who’s always talking the loudest, yet producing the least amount of action.…

    IPSY – My Thoughts

January was my first ever month subscribing to IPSY — a monthly cosmetic subscription service that sends you 5 full and travel sized products inside of makeup bag. I’m probably the last person on this planet to test this out, but I’m so glad that I did! What I Got: Oribe Gold Lust Dry Shampoo WIN. Did I ever mention the fact that I’m slightly addicted to dry shampoo? I try to only wash my hair about two times per week. Since I color treat my hair, I find that this is the most efficient way for me to preserve the color and integrity of my locks. Dry shampoo is…

First Impressions: Tarte Matte & Glossy Lip Paints

Hey guys!!! I’m so excited to give you my first impression of Tarte’s Matte Lip Paints + Glossy Lip Paints — I got these eight trial sized colors in Tarte’s limited-edition posh pout quick dry & glossy lip set from their holiday collection. I bought it online during their after-Christmas sale 😍. I actually got one of these sets for my friend a few weeks before at Sephora. I saw it again on Tarte’s website and wanted to try it out for myself. In this purchase, I got a few of Tarte’s other holiday collections and sets — I’ll be reviewing all of them in the weeks to come! This set comes with…

All Time Beauty Faves — The Necessities

Hey guys! 💜 While getting ready this morning, I had a realization that I’ve been using some of these makeup products for years! There’s some realllly good stuff here that I keep repurchasing whenever I run out. There was a time in my life *COLLEGE* where I stopped buying high-end beauty products. I sort of fell out of love with makeup — I just wasn’t as passionate about it as I once was. Maybe the fact that I was a broke college student played a role in it. Trust me, buying $70 foundation definitely wasn’t at the top of my priority list at that time. I remember when I consciously made a decision to stop excessively…

    RING-in In The New Year

HEART EYES 😍 Ahhh, how beautiful is this ring you guys! I’m a ring fanatic — I love how they make any manicure look that much better.  I usually only go for silver rings, because I think gold looks weird with my skin tone. This one was made by one of my sorority sisters, you can check out her beautiful pieces, here. Each jewelry item is 100% custom and made perfectly for you. I picked out this vintage pink glass (my go-to nail color is pale pink & it matches perfectly 😭), it’s seriously so beautiful! In the sunlight, the glass has this dreamy haze that I can’t get enough of. The quality, finish and…

    2017.

Wow, what a year it has been—I feel like I’ve lived 10 years in these past 12 months, growing and changing every single day. I thought that I would wrap this year up by looking into the future—not the past. Here are some things that I want to take into the new year with me. 1. MORE Self Love I feel like this is on my list every year, and there’s a reason for that. It’s because it’s so damn important. We live in a society where the standard is “not enough”. We’re never making enough money, we don’t have enough time, we’re not pretty enough, we’re not smart enough, we…

Refresh & Rewear—What’s Old Can Be New

As we head into the new year and move away from the spending habits that the holidays put us in, it’s important to remind ourselves that it’s not always about NEW, NEW NEW. Sure, the momentary satisfaction that we get from buying new clothes is exciting—all 5 seconds of it. And then we return home, put away our new clothes, check our bank accounts and think, “Hmm, did I really need that $80 sweater?” The answer is usually a resounding no. In 2018, I’m making it a priority to refresh & rewear some pieces that I’ve had in my closet for years. The top that I’m wearing has been sitting on a…
